Science Undergraduate Lab Internship, DOE (deadline Oct. 5)
Via Energy.gov — The Energy Department’s Science Undergraduate Lab Internship (SULI) program is an immersive learning opportunity for the next generation of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) professionals. Students in the program spend an academic semester as paid research interns at one of 15 participating National Labs. Applications for the spring 2014 semester are due by 5pm ET on October 5th, 2013. Offer notifications will be made between October 15 and November 29. EOI for Geothermal, World Bank/IFC Advisory Services, Ethiopia (deadline Sept. 16)
Submitted by the US-East Africa Geothermal Partnership (EAGP) EAGP has just received notice of a Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) for a World Bank assignment to support geothermal development in Ethiopia. IFC Advisory Services intends to commission an assignment to support the Ministry of Water and Energy, Government of Ethiopia in the design and rollout of a long term strategy for the development of Ethiopia’s geothermal sector. Phase 1 of the assignment involves defining and syndicating a strategy that will lead to the development of approximately 1,000 MW of geothermal capacity in the country before 2030.
