New geothermal power plants are in planning stages in Turkey.

*Turkey: Two 100-MW Geo Power Plants Planned for Aegean Provinces

Turkey’s Sun Group along with Turboden, Italian manufacturer of Organic Rankine Cycle turbines, have signed a letter of intent to develop two geothermal sites in the Aegean provinces of Canakkale and Manisa. At 100 MW of geothermal power capacity each, the plants should cost about EUR 300 million total. Click here for a recent video from Turboden showing geothermal applications.
